Ballough and 3rd Class Dean: Captured by Japanese after abandoning 31 boat; Ballough and Dean executed; Plant taken prisoner
and later died in 1944 aboard prison ship (torpedoed enroute to Japan).
1st Class Culp: Survived war as POW; 30 year
navy career and retired as Commander. Deceased 2003.

2nd Class Rooke: Survived war while serving as guerrilla in southern Philippines; Deceased,
